Aluva Datta Anjaneya Temple – Festival

Aluva Datta Anjaneya Temple is located on the Swargam Road, Desom – Alwaye in Ernakulam district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Hanuman and Dattatreya. The annual Siddharaja Dattatreya prathishta dinam festival in the temple is held in Malayalam Meena Masam.

The shrine has murtis of Sidharaja Dattatreya, Kariya Siddhi Anjaneya, Ganapathy and Nagendra and Navagrahas. The holy pampa river flows nearby.

The murti of Sidharaja Dattatreya has a smiling appearance. He holds conch, Chakra, Damaru (small drum), Trishul (trident), Kamandalu (water pot), Kamadhenu (the wish fulfilling divine cow and Abhaya Hastha (a hand ready to save, console and redress). The murti has three faces and six hands.

The sreekovil of Anjaneya consists of the murtis of Lakshmana, Sree Ramachandra and Sita Devi.
