Panjal Kattil Kavu Shiva temple, also known as Kattilkaavu, is an ancient shrine located amidst huge trees at Panjal in Thrissur district, Kerala. This is a shrine of Mahadeva Shiva. The annual Shivratri festival is an important occasion at Kattil Kavu.
This is small beautiful temple with a chathura sreekovil – square sanctum sanctorum. There are no major structures here. There is an upa devata worshipped here.
The Shivratri festival is observed with various types of abhishekam, pujas and rituals.
Thrikarthika is an important occasion in the temple.
