Mookkannoor Mahadeva Temple - Festival

Mookkannoor Mahadeva Temple is located at Mookkannoor on Cherukolpuzha – Rani Road in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Shiva and is located on the banks of the holy Pampa River. Maha Shivratri in Kumbha Masam (February – March) is the important festival in the temple.

Shivling is worshipped in a Chathura Sreekovil with a chuttambalam and namaskara mandapam. Upa Devata in the temple is Maha Ganapathy.

Jeevatha Ezhunnallathu is an important ritual in the temple.

Pradosham and Mondays are of great significance in the temple.

The shrine also observes various other rituals including Ramayana Masam, Mandala Kalam, Thrikarthika and Thiruvathira in Dhanu Masam.
