Komangalam Shiva temple is located near Koottanad in Palakkad district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Shiva – Mahadeva. The annual Shivratri festival is observed here with great importance.
The upa devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy and Goddess Devi
This is a typical Kerala style temple with a nalambalam, namaskara mandapam and chatura sreekovil. Separate shrines are there for upa devatas.
The temple observes Shivratri with homams, dhara and abhishekam. Maha Mrityunjaya homam and Rudra dhara and pushpanjali are performed here.
The shrine also observes Ramayana Masam, Mandalakalam, Navratri, Thrikarthika and Thiruvathira in Dhanu Masam.
