Triprayar Nattika Vazhakulam Temple - Vazhakulam Subrahmanya Temple - Festival

Triprayar Nattika Vazhakulam temple is located at Vazhakulam – Nattika in Triprayar, Thrissur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Subrahmanya or Muruga. The shrine is famous for the annual Thaipooyam festival held in Makaram month (January – February).

The small beautiful temple has a round sanctum sanctorum or vatta sreekovil. There are a couple of Upa Devatas in the temple with separate shrines.

The famous Thaipooyam festival is noted for Kavadiyattam. Sashti fasting day in every Malayalam month is of great significance here. Skanda Sashti in Thulam month is another important festival associated with Muruga. Thrikarthika in Vrischikam month is also held in the temple.

The annual pratishta festival in the temple is held in Malayalam Meda Masam (April - May).
