Nattika Arikiri Bhagavathy Temple – Information – Festival

Nattika Arikiri Bhagavathy temple is located at Nattika in Triprayar, Thrissur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi. The temple is famous for its annual festival, known as Nattika Arikir pooram, held in Makaram month (January – February). The temple is also known as Nattika Arikiri Bhagavathy Pallath Parappan Muthappan Devasthanam.

This is a small shrine with Chuttambalam and upa devata shrines. Bhagavathy is consecrated in a square sanctum sanctorum.

The annual festival is famous for caparisoned elephants carrying thidambu of Goddess Bhagavathi to the accompaniment of panchari melam or panchavadyam. Traditional Kerala temple arts are performed during the festival. The temple is famous for holding Pandi Melam during the annual festival.

The annual pratishta festival in the temple is held in Malayalam Edava Masam (April - May).
