Chentrappinni Kumaramangalam Temple

Chentrappinni Kumaramangalam temple is located at Chentrappinni in Thrissur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Subrahmanya, son of Shiva, who is popularly known as Muruga. The temple is famous in the region for colorful Thaipooyam festival in Makaram month (January – February).

The temple has a standing murti of Muruga or Subrahmanya. There are a couple of upa devatas in the temple

Colorful kavadiyattam, temple music, tableau, art forms and procession are part of the pooyam festival in Makaram month. Devotees also carry traditional kavadi and palkudam to the temple on the day.

The temple also observes monthly Sashti fasting, Skanda Sashti and Thrikarthika.
