Vezhapra Shaktiparambu Temple Ramankary

Vezhapra Shaktiparambu temple is located at Ramankary in Alappuzha district, Kerala. The temple is important because the pratishta in the sreekovil of temple was performed by Sri Narayana Guru. The consecration of the image in the temple was done in Meena Masam in Kollavarsham 1080.

As per history, the image of Shiva consecrated in the shrine by Sri Narayana Guru had moustache. It is also said that Narayana Guru had removed the old pratishta of Durdevatas before installing the new pratishta.

Maha Shivratri in Kumbham month and Thrikarthika in Vrischikam month are of great significance here.

Monday is of great importance in the temple. The shrine observes Pradosham on the 12th or the 13th day of a fortnight.
