Karamukku Sree Chidambaram Temple - Festival

Karamukku Sree Chidambaram Temple is a unique shrine located at Karamukku in Thrissur district, Kerala. Although the shrine is named after Shiva, the pratishta here is a traditional Kerala lamp. The pratishta was done by Sri Narayana Guru on May 17, 1921 (kollavarsham 1096 Edavam 2).

Symbolically the lamp represents light of knowledge – let light be there and let knowledge arrive with it.

The annual Kavadi Utsavam in the temple is held in Makaram month (January - February).

Vishu Kani Darshanam is an important festival in the temple.

The annual pratishta festival in the temple is held in Edava Masam (May - June).
