Pookkattikara Karamukku Bhagavathy temple is located a kilometer from Kanimangalam Valiyalukkal on Thrissur – Irinjalakuda road in Thrissur district, Kerala. The temple is known locally as Karamukku but in temple records the shrine is known as Pookkattikara temple. The temple is one among the 108 Durga temples in Kerala.
The temple participates in the world famous Thrissur Pooram.
There are three sreekovils or sanctum sanctorum in the Karamukku Bhagavathy temple. The three murtis are Goddess Durga, Bhagavan Vishnu and Mahadev Shiva. The darshanam of the temple is towards west. All the three sanctum sanctorum are circular in shape (vatta sreekovil).
Goddess Durga and Shiva have two tier sreekovils.
The Upa Devata worshiped in the temple is Ganapathy.
