Thattarambalam Saraswathi temple is located on the Mavelikara – Haripad road at Thattarambalam junction and is around 3 km from Mavelikara in Alappuzha district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati. The temple faces east.

The temple is believed to have existed before 14th century CE. The temple is mentioned in the Unni Neeli Sandesham literary work of 14th century CE. It is mentioned as ‘Thattan Poorvam Vazhiyilazhkarnnambalam’ and is told to Sandeshaharan (one who carries the message).

A stone engraving found at Kandiyoor Mahadeva temple (around 2 km from the temple) mentions about one Thattar Narayanan. He was part of the temple committee of Kandiyoor temple.
