Edappally Mahaganapathi temple is located at Edappally in Ernakulam district, Kerala. The Ganpati murti worshipped in the temple was the kuladevata of Edappally royal family. The deity faces west. There are no festivals in the temple.
The temple is located in the middle of the Nalukettu of Edappally swaroopam. If any member of the Edappally swaroopam dies then the murti of Edappally Mahaganapathi is shifted to the Thrikkannapuram temple. Till the after death rituals are completed (pula), puja is held at Thrikkannapuram temple. This is done so that pujas are not stopped due to the pula rituals.
The temple is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The most important offering in the temple is coconut, which broken by devotees at a designated place in front of the temple.
