Puthiyathrikovu Shiva temple is located at Chendamangalam in Ernakulam district in Kerala. The seven day annual festival in the temple ends with Vavuarattu on the Amavasya day in Kumbham month. The festival coincides with the Mahashivratri.

The temple is associated with Paliyathachan who was a minister in the Kochi kingdom.

The main deity in the temple is Shiva who is known as Vaikkathappan after the renowned Vaikom temple. It is believed that Paliyathachan was an ardent devotee of Vaikkathappan. Due to old age, he could not visit the Vaikom temple so the deity appeared here. The famous Paliam Tharavadu is located nearby.

Vaikathashtami is also observed in the shrine.
