Chakkamkulangara Shiva temple is located at Tripunithura in Ernakulam district, Kerala. The 8-day annual festival is observed in such a way that it ends on Thiruvonam Nakshatra with arattu in Kumbha Masam.
The festival usually coincides with the Mahashivaratri festival. There is no utsava bali in the temple.
The main deity in the temple is Shiva, worshipped in the form of Shivling. The deity faces west. There are three Sheeveli in the temple.
Ganapathy and Sastha are the Upa Devatas.
The shrine was an important temple associated with Shakthan Thampuran.
