Kamakhya Temple Timings in Assam – Opening - Closing - Darshan Time for Devotees

Kamakhya Temple in Assam is one of those rare temples in India, which have special darshan timings for devotees. Devotees are not allowed into the shrine immediately on opening. Here are the detail opening, closing, and darshan time for devotees. There is no special time on Saturday, Sunday or Tuesday. During Navratri and Durga Puja, the time is extended.  Kamakhya Temple is located on holy Nilachal Hills and is 8 KM from Guwahati, the capital city of Assam.

The temple remains closed from June 22 to June 25 for Ambubachi Mela - No darshan is allowed during the 4-day period.

The temple opens at 5:30 AM but devotees are not allowed to enter the shrine at this time.

Daily Morning Darshan Timing for devotees and public

8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

At 1:00 PM Naivedya (food offerings) are made in the temple and to the Goddess. This is later distributed as Prasad.

Daily Afternoon – Evening Darshan Timing for devotees and public

2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

After 5:30 PM, devotees are not allowed to enter the shrine for darshan.
