Mhasoba Yatra in Shahapur is observed in Chaitra month. It is
annual fair and festival at the Masoba Temple at Shahpur area of Ichalkaranji in
Kolhapur District, Maharashtra. Mhasoba Yatra 2025 date is April 3. The
shrine is dedicated to Gram Devata or Spirit who is worshipped near cremation
sites.
The festival and fair attracts hundreds of devotees to the
mandir.
Processions, pujas, rituals, fireworks etc are part of the
festivities.
For the annual festival, the shrine is decorated with lamps,
lights, flowers, leaves and sugarcane for the occasion.
Mhasoba Yatra at Shahapur is annually observed on Chaitra
Shukla Paksha Sashti tithi or the sixth day during the waxing phase of moon in
Chaitra month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed
in Maharashtra.
