Janai Malai Devi Yatra at Kodoli Village is annually
observed in Chaitra month. The yatra is an important festival at the Janai
Malai Devi Temple at Kodoli Village in Satara District of Maharashtra. The
shrine is dedicated to Goddess Janai Malai, Gram Devata. Janai Malai Devi Yatra 2025 date is April 1.
The shrine is decorated with lamps, lights, flowers, leaves
and sugarcane for the occasion.
The main ritual includes processions, palkhi and offerings
to Janai Malai Devi.
Hundreds of people participate in the yatra and festivities.
The temple remains open during the entire day and different rituals take place.
Janai Malai Devi Yatra at Kodoli Village is observed on
Chaitra Shukla Paksha Chaturthi Tithi or the fourth day during the waxing phase
of moon Chaitra month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed
in Maharashtra.
