Dev Swayambhu Yatra at Kasarde is annually held on
Shivratri. It is undertaken to the Dev Swayambhu Temple located at Kasarde in
Kankavali Taluka of Sindhudurg District, Maharashtra. Dev Swayambhu 2025 date is February 26. The mandir is dedicated to Shiva.
This annual jatra and festival attracts hundreds of
devotees. People also flock to the fair and festival organized during the
period.
Bel leaves and bel fruit are offered on the occasion.
The shrine is decorated for the occasion with lamps, lights,
leaves, flowers etc for the occasion. Food donation is also held on the
occasion.
Various rituals are performed during the period.
Dev Swayambhu Yatra is observed on the Mahashivratri day in Magh month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra.
