Khandoba Yatra at Thapling in Nagapur in Pune District of Maharashtra

Shree Kshetra Thapling Devasthan, also known as Thapling Temple, is dedicated to Khandoba. The deity is also referred as Shri Khanderaya. Thapling Khandoba Yatra is annually organized in Paush month at Nagpur village in Ambegaon Taluka in Pune District of Maharashtra. Thousands of people arrive to witness the jatra and festival. Thapling Khandoba Yatra 2025 date is January 11.

The temple is located around 44 km from Shirur and around 25 km from Narayangaon.

Thapling Khandoba Temple attracts devotees from nearby villages and towns. The annual yatra is famous for its unique rituals.

The temple is lavishly decorated on the occasion with flowers, leaves, lamps and lights. A fair is organized here during the period.

Thapling Khandoba Yatra is annually observed on Paush Shukla Paksha Dwadashi Tithi or the twelfth day during the waxing phase of moon in Paush month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra.
