Sirsangi Kalika Devi Rathotsav or chariot pulling festival
is observed in Jyeshta month. It is the most important festival and fair at Kalika Devi Temple at Shirasangi near Belgaum in Karnataka. In 2024, Kalika Devi
Rathotsav at Shirasangi is on June 11.
The annual festival attracts hundreds of devotees to the
temple. The main attraction is the pulling of the chariot with the utsava murti
of the deity worshipped in the temple.
Kalika Devi Rathotsav is annually observed on Jyeshta Shukla
Paksha Panchami Tithi or the fifth day during the waxing phase of moon in
Jyeshta month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar in Karnataka.
