Vontimitta Kodanda Rama Temple to receive Clothes for Sri Rama Navami from Government of Andhra Pradesh

Every year the government of undivided Andhra Pradesh used to offer silk clothes on behalf of the government to Bhadrachalam Sri Rama temple in Khammam District. But after bifurcation, Bhadrachalam Temple is in Telangana. So the government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to offer silk clothes to Vontimitta Kodanda Rama Temple in YSR District.

Vontimitta is around 20 km from Kadapa on the Rajampeta road. 

The murti worshipped in the Vontimitta Kodanda Rama Temple is unique as the murti of Bhagvan Sri Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman are carved on a single stone. Hanuman is missing in the sanctum sanctorum.
