Mukkoti Dwadashi 2025 date – Mukkoti Dwadashi

Mukkoti Dwadashi is observed in the Dhanurmasa and is an auspicious day at the Tirumala Tirupati Balaji Temple. Mukkoti Dwadashi 2025 date is January 11. It is observed on the 12th or Dwadasi day during the Shukla Paksha or waxing phase of moon (December/January) as per traditional Hindu calendar followed in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Legend has it that on the Mukkoti Dwadashi day the 30 million teerthas, or sacred rivers and other holy water bodies, merge with Swami Pushkarini pond at Tirumala Tirupati.

It is believed that bathing on the Mukkoti Dwadashi day at Swami Pushkarini is equivalent to bathing in all the sacred tirthas in the world like Ganga, Yamuna, Mansarovar, Kaveri etc.

Mukkoti means 3 crore (30 million) and it refers to the number of sacred water bodies around the world.

Mukkoti Dwadashi is observed the day after the famous Vaikunta Ekadasi.
