Telugu Ashada Month 2025 – Ashada Masam 2025 in Telugu Calendar in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

Ashada Masam is the fourth month in a traditional Hindu Telugu calendar followed in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Telugu Ashada Month 2025 is from  June 26 to July 24. Some of the auspicious days of the masa include Guru Purnima, the beginning of Chaturmas Vrat and Shayani Ekadasi. The famous Bonalu festival is held on the Sundays in Ashada month.

Fears About Ashada Month 

Some people think that Ashada month is bad but this is not true.

There is a tradition among certain communities in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka in which newly married couple does not stay together in Ashada Masam. There are also many who believe that the daughter-in-law and the mother-in-law should not stay together in this month. There is no scripture backing to this it is purely regional and followed by some communities.

Telugu Ashada Masa Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha

Ashada Masam Telugu calendar 2025 Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of moon) is from June 26 to July 10, 2025.
Telugu Ashada Masam 2025 Krishna Paksha (waning phase of moon) is from July 11 to July 24, 2025.

Ekadasi Fasting Dates in Ashada Masam are:

Devshayani Ekadashi – July 6 (Toli Ekadashi)
Kamika Ekadashi –  July 21

Pradosh – July 8
Pradosh –  July 22

Purnima in Telugu Ashada Masam
  • Ashada Purnima or Full moon day is on July 10, 2025.
  • The Purnima Vrat is marked on July 10.
  • The Purnima begins at 1:04 AM on July 10 and ends at 1:48 AM on July 11. 
  • Vyasa and Guru Purnima are observed on July 10.  
Amavasya in Telugu Ashada Masam
  • Ashada Amavasya or No moon day is on July 24.
  • The Amavasi begins at 2:00 AM on July 24 and ends at 12:36 AM on July 25, 2025.
The dates of important festivals and auspicious days in Telugu Ashada Masam are:
Toli Ekadashi -  July 6
Bonalu – Sundays In the month
Chatur Mas Vrata begins – July 7
Go Padma Vrata begins – July 7
Chukkala Amavasi and Gauri Vratam – July 24

Please note that Ashada month 2025 in traditional Hindu calendar followed in North India is from June 12 to July 10.
