Dhanu Masam is the fifth month followed in a traditional Malayalam calendar followed in Kerala. Dhanu Masam 2025 – 2026 begins on December 16, 2024 and ends on January 14, 2025. Sabarimala Mandala Pooja is one of the most important festivals in the month. Makaravilakku is on January 14.
Another major highlight of the month is the Thiruvathira festival observed on the Thiruvathira Nakshatra day in the month. Lord Vishnu temples will be observing the Swargavathil Ekadasi in the month – this festival is popularly known as the Vaikunta Ekadasi.
