Kumathe Nagache Yatra is annually held on Shivratri. It is
undertaken to the sacred place (mandir or temple) associated with Shiva at
located at Kumathe Nagache Village in Khatav in Satara District. Kumathe Nagache
Yatra 2025 date is February 26.
This annual jatra and festival attracts hundreds of
devotees. People also flock to the fair and festival organized during the
period.
The shrine is decorated for the occasion with lamps, lights,
leaves, flowers etc for the occasion. Food donation is also held on the
occasion.
Various rituals are performed during the period.
Kumathe Nagache Yatra is observed on the Mahashivratri day
in Magh month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed
in Maharashtra.
