Plavinkeezhil Sree Kelankulangara Bhagavathi temple is located on the Kasaragod - Kannur National Highway Road at Edat, Edanad, Kunhimangalam in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is also known as Edadan Puthiya Veedu Tharavadu. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held at Plavinkeezhil Sree Kelan Kulangara Bhagavati temple for two days in Malayalam Meenam Masam – Meenam 4 and Meenam 5 (March 19 and March 20).
The shrine is mainly dedicated to Goddess Kelankulangara Bhagavati – manifestation of Goddess that appeared to annihilated demon Darikasuran.
The shrine here is a small chathura sreekovil – square sanctum
sanctorum with a traditionally decorated roof. The other deities are worshipped
under trees and on uncovered raised square platforms.
The main theyyam kolams that can be witnessed at Plavinkeezhil Sree Kelankulangara Bhagavathi temple are Kelankulangara Bhagavathi theyyam, Kannikkoru Makan theyyam and Kundor Chamundi Theyyam.
