Thekkinkadu Thrikkovil Mahavishnu Mahadeva Temple – Festival

Thekkinkadu Thrikkovil Mahavishnu Mahadeva Temple is located near Nagaroor near Kilimanoor in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Maha Vishnu and Shiva. Mahashivratri in Kumbha Masam (February – March) is an important festival here.

Thekkinkadu Mahavishnu Mahadeva temple has two main deities Shiva and Vishnu. The temple has a vatta sreekovil with a chuttambalam and namaskara mandapam.

The important rituals and festivities held on Mahashivratri include Rudra Abhishekam, Navakam Pooja, Athazha Pooja and Bhasma Abhishekam.

Chathur Bahu Vishnu or Bhagavan Vishnu with four hands is worshipped in the temple. Shiva is worshipped in the form of a Shivling.

The temple is located on a higher level from the ground.

The shrine also observes Ramayana Masam and Mandala Makaravilakku. Vishu is another important festival here.

Pradosham, Thursdays and Mondays are of great significance here.
