Gnana Saraswati Temple is a modern temple dedicated to
Goddess Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of art, learning and knowledge. The shrine
is located at Musheerabad in Hyderabad. The exact address of the temple is opposite
to Gandhi hospital Krishna Nagar Colony in Musheerabad in Secunderabad. The
temple is famous for Aksharabhyasam – initiation of children into the world of
learning and letters.
Every year during Vasant Panchami and Navarati thousands of
children are initiated into the world of knowledge and learning at the temple.
Special pujas for education of children are performed in the
temple.
People also keep notebooks, pencils and other study
materials of their children at the feet of goddess for taking her blessings.
The Shrine is open from 6:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 5:30 PM
to 8:30 PM.
The temple hosts numerous spiritual programs and music
programs especially in the auditorium near the temple complex.
