Sri Sundara Anjaneya Swamy Temple is located on 100 Feet
Road in Indiranagar, in the heart of Bengaluru city, Karnataka. The shrine dedicated
to Hanuman is believed to date back to the 18th century.
Historical Background
It is said that the temple originally began as a small
shrine. Over time, devotees collectively renovated and expanded it into the
present temple structure. There is no available information indicating that any
specific king, ruler, or chieftain undertook its renovation.
Deity and Installation
The main deity (Moola Murti) is that of Hanuman in standing
posture.
Religious Beliefs and Significance
Devotees believe that by offering prayers and fulfilling
vows (Harake) to Sri Swamy, they receive his divine blessings. Through his
grace:
- Difficulties and hardships are relieved
- Auspicious events such as marriages and other ceremonies are successfully conducted
- Devotees receive various positive outcomes and blessings
- Remedies are sought for Naga Dosha, Sarpa Dosha, and several other astrological afflictions

There is no temple tank (Kalyani) at this temple.
As per devotees’ wishes, special poojas are performed in the presence of Sri Swamy by offering sacred coconut (Teerthakayi) and lemons.
