Vidyaranyapura Sri Kalika Durga Parameshwari Temple Festivals Rituals
Due to the ritual worship, homas (fire rituals), Vedic chanting, and Annadhanam (food donation) conducted here, the temple has transformed into a spiritual power center. The presiding goddess removes the sorrows and miseries of the distressed devotees and sends them back with a peaceful and clear mind. For this reason, the temple is also known as the "Shweta Kshetra" (White Shrine).
A special feature of the temple is its flag post (dhwaja stambha), which is of great importance. Upon entering the temple, devotees must offer their prayers here first. Next to the flag post is the Rahu Kala Devi, and in front of the goddess, there is a long stone slab.
A unique ritual performed here involves lighting lemon lamps placed in a tray. Offering this lamp worship in the presence of Sri Kalika Durga Parameshwari, Sri Chakra, and the Saptamatrika deities is believed to surely fulfill the devotees’ wishes.
