Potta Pambambottu Shiva temple is located at Potta in Thrissur district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Mahadeva Shiva. The annual prathishta dinam in the temple is held in Malayalam Meena Masam. Shivaratri is another important festival in the temple. The annual festival in the temple coincides with the Thiruvathira nakshatra in Dhanu Masam.
The annual festival is famous for caparisoned elephants and temple music – panchavadyam, thayambaka and pandimelam. Nearly half a dozen elephants participate in the annual festival. Traditional temple art forms, dance, music, and various pujas and rituals part of Shaiva worship are performed here.
This is a typical Kerala temple with an east facing chathura sreekovil. The shrine has namaskara mandapam and chuttambalam. The upa devatas include Ganapathy and Sastha.
