Kizhoor Karthyayani Devi temple is located near Kunnamkulam in Thrissur district, Kerala. Kizhoor Karthyayani Devi temple festival 2024 date is December 13. The annual temple festival is observed on Thrikarthika day in Vrischikam month and is famous as Kizhoor Karthika Pooram Mahotsavam.
Nearly 40 caparisoned elephants participate in the Ezhunellippu on the day. Melam, Nadaswaram and other traditional temple music are part of Kizhoor Karthika Mahotsavam. The important elephants in Kerala participate in the festival.
The temple is lit with thousands of lamp as part of the Thrikarthika festival.
