Choorakode Sree Durga Bhagavathi temple is located at Padiyam - Kandassankadavu in Thrissur district, Kerala. The temple is one among the 108 Durga temples in Kerala. There are two main deities in the temple – Goddess Durga and Goddess Bhadrakali.

The annual pratishta dinam in the temple is held in Makaram month. Bharani Vela is also held in the Makaram month. The next day is observed as Karthika Vela.

The darshanam of Choorakode Bhagavathy temple is towards west. Both the deities are worshipped in the same sreekovil. Goddess Bhadrakali is worshipped in a corner of the sreekovil and the murti is of swayambhu sankalpam (divine origin).

As per local belief, Goddess Durga was consecrated later in the temple to lessen the ferociousness of Goddess Bhadrakali.

The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy, Ayyappan and Brahma Rakshasan. It is said that Brahma Rakshasan worshipped here was the kudumba paradevata of Punnathur Nambidi of Pookkodu near Guruvayoor.

Choorakode Sree Durga Bhagavathi participates in the annual Arattupuzha pooram.

The annual Makayiram purappadu is held in Malayalam Kanni Masam (September - October).

As per history, the temple once belonged to Koovakottu Mana and Kalappura, Makkara, Vayiloppali and Kolayamparambu Nair families.
