 Sakthikulangara Sree Dharma Sastha temple is located at Sakthikulangara in Kollam district, Kerala. The four-day annual festival in Sakthikulangara Sree Dharma Sastha temple begins with kodiyettam on Makayiram nakshatra in Makaram month. Pallivetta is observed a day before Arattu. The festival ends with Arattu. The temple is believed to be one among the 108 Ayyappan Kavu temples in Kerala. The temple is known as Muhurthikavu in Thottam Pattu. The main deity worshipped in the temple is Sastha who faces east. The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy, Nagam, Muhurthi, Nagaraja, Madan, Maruta and Yakshi.

Shanghumugham Devi Temple Information - Festival

Shanghumugham Devi temple is located at Shankumugham Beach in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The 10-day annual festival in Shanghumugham Devi temple is observed in such a manner that the Pallivetta takes place on Bharani nakshatra in Meenam month. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga who faces east. The temple is one among the 108 Durga temples in Kerala. It is believed that the temple Azhiyoor mentioned in the Durga kshetra stotra namavali is this. The murti worshipped in the temple was consecrated by Parashurama. Pallivetta, Pongala and Arattu rituals are part of the festival. There are no Upa Devatas in the temple. It is believed that the temple belonged to Kuvakkarapotti who was part of the Ettara Yogam in Travancore kingdom.

Kurumal Bhagavathi Temple - About Offering Muram - Festival

Kurumal Bhagavathi Temple is located at Velur village in Thrissur district, Kerala. The annual festival in the temple is observed on the sankranti day in Kumbham month. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. There is a belief that this Bhadrakali is Muthi. There is another belief that the Goddess is Desha Devata Nanadurga. A unique offering in the temple is small muram (Kerala style pan). Garlands made of small murams are offered to Goddess to find early relief to child health issues. Maruthoorkulangara Mahadeva Temple History - Festival

Maruthoorkulangara Mahadeva temple is located at Maruthurkulangara near Karunagappally in Kollam district, Kerala. The 10-day annual festival begins with kodiyettam on Chathayam nakshatra in Makaram month. The main deity worshipped in the temple is Shiva – there are two opinions regarding the murti in the temple one is that Shiva is here in Ananda Tandava form and another opinion is that he is in Rudra Tandava form. The sanctum sanctorum faces east. There is Mahameru, Sri Chakra and Salagram in the sreekovil. The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple Ganapathy, Sastha, Nagaraja, Rakshas, Yakshi and Madan. It is believed that the presence of Shiva was first felt in the north side of the temple. Moolasthanam is here and prayers are offered here too. Triprayar Temple History And Unknown Facts

A look at the history of famous Triprayar Sri Rama Temple in Kerala along with some unknown facts.  Triprayar Temple located between two important religious centers in Kerala, Guruvayur and Kodungallur.
