Chengaganapathi Homam is a unique ritual performed by women in
Kerala. The ritual is performed for desire fulfillment, good health and for
peace and prosperity at home. The ritual is usually performed on the first day
of every Malayalam month.
In the ritual after taking bath in early morning, a small
havan is created. The offerings in the havan are small piece of dried coconut, ghee
and jaggery.

- അതിരാവിലെ കുളിച്ചു ശുദ്ധിയോടെ ഗണപതിയെ ധ്യാനിച്ചു ഒരു തേങ്ങാപ്പൂളും ഒരു കഷണം ശർക്കരയും നെയ്യും ചേർത്തു ഹോമിക്കുന്നതാണ് ചെങ്കണപതി ഹോമം എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്.
