Kottassali Sree Bhagavathi Temple – Thalappoli Festival

Kottassali Sree Bhagavathi temple is located near Farook College near Feroke in Kozhikode district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi. The annual thalappoli festival is observed in Kumbha Masam (February – March).

This is a very small temple with a square sanctum sanctorum – chathura sreekovil. There are no other important structures in the temple.

The annual festival is famous for Thira and Poothan. Temple rituals associated with Bhagavathi temples during festivals are strictly followed here. The annual festival is famous for circling of fire - a ritual associated with Thira.

There are no main upa devatas.

The shrine also observes Thrikarthika festival.
