Chuttipara Mahadeva Temple – Festival

Chuttipara Mahadeva temple is located in Pathanamthitta in Kerala. Dedicated to Shiva, the shrine is located top 200 feet high rock cluster. Maha Shivratri in February or March is an important festival in the temple.

The sankalpam of Shiva in the temple is that of Harihara – Vishnu and Shiva.

The upa devatas worshipped here are Nagaraja and Nagayakshi. The shrine is open only on Sundays.

Some of the other upa devatas are worshipped under the trees here.

This is a very small Shiva temple with a Shivling.
