Atul Krishna Goswami was born in 1868 CE at Shimuliya (near Kolkata in Bengal) in a Brahmin family. His parents arranged for him to study Hindu knowledge texts. He also learnt music. Sage Parashara, who is credited with the famous Parasara Samhita, is the father of Sage Veda Vyasa. The story of the birth of the Sage is very interesting.
