Malola Narasimha Swamy is one of the lesser known murtis of Narasimha Avatar
of Vishnu. This is a soumya form – calm and peaceful form – of Narasimha. He is
depicted along with Goddess Lakshmi.
This Narasimha murti has his front arms in blessing posture;
his rear arms bear the chakra and conch. Goddess Lakshmi sits on his lap.
Malola Narasimha Swamy is worshipped for attaining peace and
prosperity. He is also worshipped by those seeking moksha or liberation.
The murti is worshipped mainly in temples in Andhra Pradesh,
Telangana and Karnataka.
