Koodali Kavu temple is located on the Kannur – Mattannur road at Koodali in Kannur district, Kerala. The main murti worshipped in the temple is Daivathar. The main murti is also believed to have Shivamsham and some consider it to be Kirathamoorthy. The main deity faces west and there are no Upa Devatas.
The main festival in the temple is held on Malayalam month Vrischikam 6 and 7.
There is also a belief that Daivathar took the form of bull (kala) and arrived here from Virajpetta.
The temple belonged to Chadrothidam, Kuzhangridam, Kurichattidam and Othayothidam. The temple is now managed by a trust.
