Trikkalangode Vettakkorumakan Temple

Trikkalangode Vettakkorumakan temple is located at Trikkalangode in Malappuram district, Kerala. The main deity worshipped in the temple is Shiva. But importance is given to Vettakkorumakan. The murti of Vettakkorumakan is on the north door facing south. The murti is carved on jackfruit tree (Varikkaplavinete Palaka). The Shiva worshipped in the temple is known as Meledathu Thevar. The Prathishta is that of Shivling. The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy and Nagam. There is a huge pond near the temple. There is also a Shiva Parvati temple nearby.

Sree Chakrapani Temple Trikaripur – History – Gajendra Moksha Murti

Sree Chakrapani Temple is located on the Thankayam – Elambachi road, and is around 3 km south of Trikaripur, in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Bhagwan Vishnu. The Sankalpam of the prathishta is that of Vishnu Bhagavan giving moksha to Gajendra. The darshanam of Sree Chakrapani temple is towards east. The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy, Sastha and Goddess Durga. There is also the sankalpam of the presence of Puliyannoor Devi. The 8-day annual festival in the temple concludes with arattu on Rohini nakshatra in Meenam month (March – April). The murti of Chakrapani is nearly 6 feet tall. As per popular belief Gajendra was caught by a crocodile in one of the two ponds located near the temple. Another belief is that the temple murti here was consecrated by Parashurama. Thrikkapalam Shiva Temple – Kadachira

Thrikkapalam Shiva Temple is located on the banks of the Anjarakandy River at Kadachira – near Peralassery – in Kannur district, Kerala. The temple is one among the 108 Shiva temples in Kerala. There are two Shivlings in the temple. One is swayambhu and other was consecrated by Parshuram avatar of Bhagwan Vishnu. The two Shivling in the temple have separate sanctum sanctorum (sreekovil (s)). The darshanam of Thrikkapalam Shiva temple is towards east. Shiva believed in the temple is believed to be the Dakshinamurti form. As per history, Kottiyoor Temple stood in a land that was donated by Kottayam king to Kolathiri. The land was part of the Kottayam kingdom. Kottiyoor Shiva was the Upasana murti of the Thamburatti of Kolathiri Kovilakam. The Thamburatti was pained and saddened that the temple of her Upasana Devata was in another kingdom. Avanamcode Saraswathi Temple – Nedumbassery - Information - History - Aksharabhyasam

Avanamcode Saraswathi temple is located at Nedumbassery in Ernakulam district, Kerala. The temple is one among the 108 Durga temples in Kerala. Although the main deity worshipped is Goddess Durga, the sankalpam is that of Goddess Saraswati Devi. The murti worshipped here is swayambhu – of divine origin. The temple is famous for Aksharabhyasam. The murti of Goddess is like a Shivling. The murti is getting broader and taller.
