Unicorn in Hinduism

As per western concept, unicorn had the body of a horse and a straight horn on its forehead. In Hinduism, the earliest representations of the unicorn are to be found on the seals of the Indus or Harappan Civilization on which it is depicted not with a straight horn but with a curved one. In Indus seals, the generative organ is very prominently show and at front is a vessel which is generally identified as the fire receptacle, because in some specimens, sparks are seen coming out of it. The unicorn is depicted in 1161 out of 1755 Indus Seals. It is believed that the unicorn is attracted to virgins. The most popular horse in Hindu scriptures is the Uchchaihshravas which appeared during the churning of the ocean or the Samudra manthan. This seven-headed flying horse was the king of the horses.

Teerth in Hindu tradition is divided into three the first is the Nitya Teerth,  second is Bhagavadiya Teerth and  third is Sant Teerth. Nitya Teerths are those sacred places that existed from the beginning of time. They always exist – before creation and after creation. During the delusion, the Nitya Teerth is not affected. They remain as the same during each cycle of creation. The three Nitya Teerths are Kashi, Kailash and Mansarovar. All these are associated with Shiva.
