Azhikode Myladathadam Vannarath Puthiya Bhagavathy Temple – Thira Festival

Azhikode Myladathadam Vannarath Puthiya Bhagavathy temple is located at Myladathadam near Azhikode in Kannur District in Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi. The annual festival at Myladathadam Vannarath Puthiya Bhagavathy temple is observed in Meena Masam (March - April) – Meenam 28 to 30 (April 11 or April 12 to April 13 or April 14). The theyyams performed in the temple are Gulikan Theyyam, Puthiya Bhagavathy, Veera Kali Theyyam and Veeran Theyyam. This is a small kavu temple with a chathura sreekovil. Bhagavathy here is unique as she wears garlands as head dress.

Kalimala – Pongala – Chithirai Pournami – Pathukani

Kalimala is located at Pathukani in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu, on the Varambathi Mountain, Sahyadri Mountain Ranges or the Western Ghats. Kalimala Pongala 2024 date is April 23. The temple observes the famous Pongala festival on the Chithirai Pournami day – the full day in Tamil month Chithirai. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. Rangbhari Ekadashi 2024 - Importance - Story

Rangbhari Ekadasi is an important festival observed on the 11 th day during the waxing phase of moon in Phalgun month. The festival is associated with the Holi festival which is observed a couple of days later. Rangbari Ekadasi 2024 date is March 20.
