Umadi Malkar Siddh Dev Yatra is organized in Chaitra month.
It is the annual festival and fair held at Malkarsiddh Dev Temple at Umadi in Jat
Taluka of Sangli district, Maharashtra. Umadi Malkar Siddh Dev Yatra 2025 date is April 2.
Malkar Siddh Dev Temple is dedicated to gram devata. The
deity is also the kuldaivat of many families.
Rituals associated with village deity are performed during
the yatra.
The shrine is decorated for the occasion with lamps, lights,
leaves, flowers etc for the occasion. Food donation is also held during the
period.
Malkar Siddh Dev Yatra at Umadi is observed on Chaitra
Shukla Paksha Panchami Tithi or the fifth day during the waxing phase of moon
Chaitra month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed
in Maharashtra.
