Goradwadi Biroba Yatra is organized in Chaitra month. It is
the annual festival and fair held at Biroba Temple at Goradwadi in Malshiras
Taluka of Solapur district. Goradwadi Biroba Yatra 2024 date is April 13.
Biroba Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. He is the Kuldaivat of Dhangars in Maharashtra.
Rituals associated with Lord Shiva are performed during the
yatra.
The shrine is decorated for the occasion with lamps, lights,
leaves, flowers etc for the occasion. Food donation is also held during the
period.
Biroba Yatra at Goradwadi is observed on Chaitra Shukla
Paksha Panchami Tithi or the fifth day during the waxing phase of moon Chaitra
month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra.
