Surya Grahan Fasting Time in January 2010 – How to fast and perform pujas during Solar Eclipse on January 15

The Annular Solar Eclipse, Surya Grahan, taking place on January 15, 2010 is an important religious event for several Hindu communities. Several Hindus fast during the grahan period – the fasting begins 12 hours before the beginning of the eclipse. The fasting or Vedarambha for this particular Grahan on January 15 begins at 21:22 hrs on January 14, 2010. Radha Saptami 2011 – Worship of Surya in Magh Month

Radha Saptami is a highly auspicious day dedicated to Lord Surya, the Sun God in Hinduism. Radha Saptami 2011 date is February 10. Lord Surya riding a chariot (Radha or Rath) driven by seven horses is worshipped on the day. Radha Saptami festival, also known as Rath Saptami, is observed on the seventh day of Shukla Paksha in the Magh Month (January – February) in traditional Hindu calendar.
