Tripura Chaturthi – Shloka Chaturti

Tripura Chaturthi, also known as Shloka Chaturti and Shruka tsoram, is observed on the fourth day of the Shukla Paksha, or waxing phase of moon, of Magh Month. Tripura Chaturthi 2018 date is January 21. Mother Goddess is worshipped in the Tripura Sundari form on the day. You children are taught Sanskrit shloka for the first time by Kashmiri Pandits on the day and therefore the day is known as Shloka Chaturti.

Shakti Temples is certain regions worship Tripura Sundari form of Goddess Shakti. In this form, Mother Goddess is the energy aspect of Goddess Tripura Sundari.
