Ram Navami Quotes – Sri Rama Navami Teachings

A collection of thoughts and quotes on Ram Navami. Rama means ‘Sarveshu Ramante Iti Ramah’ – that which revels in everyone of us, the pure light of consciousness, the Atman, the Self, the Atma–Rama. This spiritual essence in us can come out only as a son of Dasaratha, one who has conquered all the ten indriyas – five Jnanendriyas and the five Karmendriyas. (Swami Chinmayananda) ..be it man, woman or ‘one lacking the characteristics of both’ or for the matter of that, any living being whatsoever, of the animate or the inanimate world, he who adores Me with all his being, giving up all guile is supremely dear to Me.. (Uttara Kanda, Doha 87, Lord Rama says) The essential principle behind all of Sri Rama’s actions, the value that He cherished the most, was ‘Dharma.’ He said that He could give all else, for the sake of Dharma. Even Maricha, His enemy said that He was the embodiment of Dharma (ramo vigrahavan dharmah). Dharma is what integrates and creates harmony – within ou...

Chant Name Of Bhagavan Rama For Happiness In Kali Yuga – Ram Navami Thoughts

Sri Ram Navami Thoughts  The name of Bhagavan Sri Ram is a wish-yielding tree, the very home of beatitude in this age of Kali (current era – the dark kali yuga), by remembering which Tulsidas was transformed from an intoxicating drug like the hemp plant into the holy basil. Not only in this Kali age, but in all the four ages, at all times (past, present and future) and in all three spheres (viz., heaven, earth and the subterranean region) creatures have been rid of grief by repeating the name of Sri Ram. The verdict of the Vedas and the Puranas as well as of saints is just this; that love of Rama is the reward of all virtuous acts. In the first sage, through meditation; in the second age, through sacrifice; and in the Dwapara age the Lord is propitiated through worship. This age of Kali, however, is simply corrupt and the root of all impurities, where the mind of man wallows like a fish in the ocean of sin. In this terrible age the name of Bhagavan Rama alone is...

Saint Poet Annamacharya eulogizes Lord Sri Rama as Archavatara Murti

Oh! Sri Rama! You emerged from the boon inherent in ‘Paramanna Prasadam’ during the sacrifice called ‘Putra Kameshti’ done by the royal couple Dasaratha and Kausalya as ‘Paradevata Murti.’ You are the sole monarch in your Suryavamsam who ruled the entire universe as Parabrahma Murty. You are the incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the magnificent embodiment punishing the wicked and protecting the innocent and the good. You are the concrete form of Rama Mantra for meditation that always resides in the hearts of ‘Yogiswaras.’ You are the ‘Omkara Pranava Murti’ inherent in the Vedas, the Vedangas and the philosophical science. You are residing on Sri Venktadri. You are the first and the foremost entity in the entire creation. Oh! Lord Sri Rama!
