Kalika Jayanti is dedicated to Mother Goddess Kalika, a manifestation of Mother Goddess Shakti worshipped in this form widely in Gujarat region. Kalika Jayanti 2026 date is September 4. The day marks the appearance day of her.
She is depicted with four hands the lower hands in Varada
and Abhaya mudras – blessing and protection. The right upper hand holds a
raised sword and upper left hand holds a severed head. She wears a mundamala.

Shaktipeeth and Kalika of Patan.
She is worshipped for overcoming the severest of diseases.
Those make a living through their skilled trade and enterprise worship her for
prosperity. It is said that worship of her removes all kinds of fear.
Kalika Jayanti is observed on Shravan Krishna Paksha Ashtami
tithi or the eighth day during the waning or dark phase of moon in Shravan
month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in India.
