Kshetrapalakan Story In Kerala

Kshetrapalakan is a Shaiva deity worshipped mainly in North Kerala in Kerala. A theyyam of Kshetrapalakan is also performed during the annual thira theyyam kaliyattam festival in many kavu, tharavadu and temples in the region. Vellayani Devi Temple – Festival Kaliyoottu 2026 – Pongala

Vellayani Devi Temple is located at Vellayani on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram city, Kerala. The shrine near Vellayani Lake is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali.  The temple is noted for the Kaliyoottu Mahotsavam which happens once in every three years and is celebrated over a two-month period (about 56 to 65 days). In Hinduism, anacharas are the bad practices. It covers different religious and social fields. According to Laghudharmapradipika, the anacaras are sixty four in number (Chapter 12 section 4). Alaya Vijnana literally means a bed of consciousness. It is a term used in Mahayana Buddhism and is the concept of the Yogacara School, one of the important sects of Mahayana Buddhism.
